The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Melvin La Pointe can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The day I lost you Dad, I not only lost my Dad, I lost my friend, my confidant & my unsung hero. Thank you for always making time for me when I called. I could talk to you about anything and everything.  Your knowledge and advice shall always be instilled in me. And all the stories and laughter shall remain in my heart. Those special conversations between you and I...... Although I lived far away because of our many, hours long conversations, I felt as though I lived right there. The only distance between us were the miles. I am so thankful that you held on for me to see and talk with you one last time.  I will forever cherish the last words you said to me and I'm so grateful I was able to hold your hand towards the end.  Dad you taught me to be strong, sorry for letting you down, this is just much harder than I had expected. But I promise to keep trying. I love you more than words can express.  Dad, you gave me the greatest gift anyone could give......your belief in me.  When I feel the warm sunshine on my face, I will feel your touch. Until we are together again....Love & Miss you Dad. xoxo Love forever your daughter.
