The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ross Hornberger can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

The flood

Dear Crystal I was so shocked and sad to hear of Ross's passing when I returned from holidays. The community has lost a very kind and generous person. No one knows that better than our family. Yes the post flood "dear community" letter in the high country news was certainly directed to you. Not only did Ross bring equipment, tools, and fans for us to use, you provided us storage for our "stuff" for years after the flood. Beyond that you cleaned it up and permitted unlimited access for us. I will forever have the image in my mind of you and Ross walking up a very dishevelled White Ave towards the Trading Post and before leaving you found another way to help us and fill a need. It will never be forgotten. I hope you are able to find comfort in your memories and the fact that Ross's time on earth was not long but his kindness and generosity have left an everlasting impact. Love Robb and Barbara Tetghtmeyer & Family
