Darlene was predeceased by her parents Martha and Lorne Taylor.

Darlene was born in Pembroke, Ontario. Since her father was in the army, Darlene lived with her family in a number of places while growing up including Manitoba, Quebec, Germany, and Newfoundland.

Darlene loved to spend time visiting with friends and family. She demonstrated remarkable compassion for others and infinite patience throughout her life. She loved travel and she and Liz had enjoyed many cruises with family and friends in recent years.

Darlene lived her passion for creativity and helping others through In-Definite Arts, where she worked for over 30 years. She was a founding member of the Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association (CTRA).

Darlene's creativity was expressed in various ways throughout her life and most recently she loved to scrapbook and create works of art for friends and family.
