The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Murray Krahn can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

A Long History of Memories

I am saddened by the loss of my brother-in-law, Murray.  I have known him since he was a young boy of about 12 years old.  I first met Murray in Golden Prairie where I was working on a construction project building a new school, and courting his sister, Marion. There was never a harsh word between Muirray and I over the years and we shared a lot of laughs and made a lot of memories.

When Murray was 14 years old he came to Winnipeg with me where I had a job interview.  We had lots of fun on that trip.  As an adult, Murray moved away to Ontario and we stayed connected.  Marion and I travelled East and Murray and the kids travelled West.  Once Murray and Carolyn moved back to Calgary there were many more visits with lots of laughs and fun times.  Most of the important events of our lives were celebrated together.  So many memories!  I will miss Murray very much.  Rest in peace my brother.
