Obituary for Heidi Maria Yeung (Weiss)
Heidi Maria Yeung, our beloved wife and mother, of Calgary, Alberta, passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015.
She was born to the late Irmgard Weiss (born Mankus) on January 18, 1945. Heidi was adopted by her step-father, Otto Weiss. She grew up in a coal mining town in Germany. Heidi moved to Canada at a young age, where she met Sam Yeung at a disco called “New York, New York” in 1982. Heidi and Sam married in 1998. They proudly raised Lara, their daughter, in Calgary. Heidi was affectionately called “Noodle” by her family.
Heidi passed away on December 21, 2015 surrounded by her loved ones. She is survived by Sam and Lara.
A celebration of Heidi’s life will be held at Choice Memorial (105 - 4715 13 St N.E., Calgary) on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
Her memory will remain in our hearts forever.
