Obituary for Donald Jacob Bradshaw

Donald Jacob Bradshaw
BRADSHAW, Donald Jacob
June 9, 1945 – Noranda, Quebec
March 26, 2018 – Calgary, Alberta

With great sorrow we must announce the peaceful passing of Don at South Health Campus on March 26, 2018. He led an interesting life, working for Otis Elevator Company for almost 43 years, and enjoying many hobbies that led to many treasured friendships. In his youth, Don played bass in a rock band (Time Twisters, Cesar et les Romains) and shared his musical talent often with others. He was an avid fly fisherman and loved the challenge the fish presented and the peace of the outdoors. Don embraced his watch and clock collecting hobby and was president of the local Alberta Watch and Clock Collectors Club for at least 15 years.

Don is survived by his wife Marylyn, son Jamie, daughter and son-in-law Sara and Josh Reid, sister-in-law Pat Bradshaw; two nieces, Kathy Bradshaw (Dave) her children Dylan and Sydney, and Vicky Bradshaw-Bacher (AG) and her children Andreas and Adrian. Don was predeceased by his brother Ron and his nephew Donnie.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Holy Nativity Anglican Church (12707 Bonaventure Dr. SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with reception to follow. If friends so desire, a donation may be made directly to Canadian Red Cross, Health Equipment Loan Program, #7, 3140-14 Avenue NE, Calgary, AB T2A 6J4 403-273-4426. The family needs to say thanks to all the staff at South Health Campus. Their care was spectacular and eased our sorrow every step of the way.
