Obituary for Leonisa Guioguio Albaran (Guioguio)

Leonisa Guioguio Albaran (Guioguio)
Leonisa "Nescie" Albaran
November 13th, 1955 - May 19th, 2018

Leonisa Albaran passed away on Saturday, May 19th, 2018 at the age of 62.

Nescie was born in Manila, Philippines as the third out of ten children. She had dreams of becoming a nurse, but pursued accounting instead to give way for her younger siblings. At the age of 21, she met and married her husband of 39 years and bore four wonderful children, of which had blessed her with three grandchildren.

She worked as an Agency Manager for PhilAm Plans, and met lifelong friends from Brunei and the Philippines. Her first travel to the Holy Land at the age of 50 encouraged her to be active within the Catholic church, flourishing both her relationship with God and those around her. She was also able to go on her dream pilgrimage when she went on a Marian tour across Europe. Her service carried on, when in 2010, at the age of 54, she and her husband, along with two of their younger children migrated to Toronto, Canada. There she decided to pursue her most loved profession once again of Insurance Sales with Sun Life Financial. Opportunities brought her from Toronto, to Fort McMurray, and eventually to Calgary, befriending everyone she met along the way.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 10:00 am.
