Trevor Dane Thompson
October 7, 1969 – Winnipeg, Manitoba
January 19, 2020 – Calgary, Alberta

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Trevor on January 19, 2020 at the age of 50. Predeceased by his mother Anna Margaret Thompson. Survived by his father Brock Campbell, bother Tristan Campbell (Jessie), sister Stephanie Singleton (Ryan), his niece Michaela Singleton, nephew Brody Singleton and many other extended family and friends.

Trevor was an honest and genuine person who was always there for you when needed. He was very proud and dedicated to helping the Ronald McDonald House in every way he could. Trevor loved to travel, most of all to New York City. He loved all kinds of music; The Beatles and Oasis topped the list and he was the most dedicated Mets and Stampeders fan you could ever meet. He was happiest sharing those things with the ones he loved. Trevor had a great sense of humor and an infectious laugh that will never be forgotten.

Please join us for a Celebration of Life at Silver Springs Golf and Country Club (1600 Varsity Estates Drive NW, Calgary, AB) on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm to share memories and stories.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Trevor was born in Winnipeg and his first home was essentially my family home - his mother, Anna Margaret, was my aunt. As a nine year old I was thrilled to have a cousin on my mother's side. They visited us often and we visited them in Calgary. Trevor was a wonderful kid and that never changed. In 1993, I moved to the Okanagan, and the Thompson-Campbell clan always had a place for us when we commuted back and forth to Winnipeg. Trevor made a special effort to make my "blended family daughters" feel welcome. I am so glad we had that great family reunion in 2018 - coordinated by Trevor, of course! My heart goes out to Brock, Tristan and Stephanie, and to everyone who had the good fortune to share our love for Trevor. Dan Summers and Family.

I was heart broken to hear of Trevor’s passing. He had an awesome sense of humor and I feel fortunate to have gotten to know him through our time at WestJet. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Rest In Peace dear friend.
