Mr Edwards was a pleasant, friendly, gentleman. We invited him to Stampede in 2017 and to be in fashion he wore my son's cowboy hat. Mr Edwards was very interested and amused by the chaotic atmosphere. He enjoyed his visit to the "Indian Village" where he talked to families in the tipis about their traditional way of life, and approved of competions where children competed and learned at the same time. One of the chiefs there was fascinated to have a visitor from Jamaica. On our way back, we had a snack of "typical stampede food" and lemonade. Then Mr Edwards joined my husband at the Grand Stage where they discussed the virtues of toffee " they bought for his grandchildren and for our son" but as they spent time browsing the stalls, I don't know how much toffee was left for the children.
My husband thought about playing dominoes with Mr Edwards, but it never happened after my husband's injury.
