Olga Tellietta “Tilly” Johnson

Olga was born on December 27, 1948 to Colymore and Irene Johnson.

Olga passed away in her sleep on Monday December 30, 2019 in the Peter Lougheed Centre. She is survived by her four children, six grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her three siblings Stanford, Cecile and Melbert. She is survived by nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Olga was a loving person who would not hesitate to share what she had with others. She was respectful, peaceful, quiet and loved playing dominoes. Olga was a great cook who enjoyed eating steamed fish, particularly enjoying the head of the fish. Family was very important to her as she made a lot of sacrifices for them; there wasn’t anything too good for her to give to her family.

Her funeral service will be held at Calgary Church of Christ (4030 Maryvale Dr. N.E.) on Saturday, January 25th , 2020 @ 11:30 am.

Dear Sister Johnson, of the most caring people I, nor my wife have ever known, truly cared for people over her own feeble health. We first meat this kind, loving, and gracious lady when her equally kind, gracious, loving daughter and husband brought her to Church, in the early 2000's. This dear lady would always respond to us with a smile, even if we had no smile to give. With the deepest of sincere regrets I am so sorry that we are unable to attend her funeral. My own sorrow is that my wife could not attend for me. Sincerely Bro. Kerry & Sis. Loretta Heseltine as of Friday January 24th 2020

To: Lavern, Sophia, Lando & the entire family

No one can prepare you for the loss of a love one; and no one can truly bring you solace in the midst of this difficult time. So although no words can truly help to ease the pain you bear, just know that you are very close in every thought and prayer we pray..

May our Lord bless and comfort you. May His soothing voice speak peace to your heavy aching hearts; and his strong gentle arms carry you through this path we have been made to bear. May the soul of Miss Tilly rest peacefully in the bosom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

We continue to mourn with you. We avail our shoulders for you to lean on and our hands outstretched to help in any capacity help is needed.

Miss Tilly will be truly missed; and she might think she got away, but she will still have to play me that domino game when I meet up with her over in that New Jerusalem…May her soul rest in peace...

With love from,
Everton Jr, Dawn & Everton Sr.

My sincere condolences to the family. Miss Tilly was such a quite warm soul. I had the opportunity to be her care giver for 3 years. She was loved by her children Lavern Sophia and Lando. Her grandkids enjoyed their time spent with her. Miss Tilly will be greatly missed but heaven only takes the best. Sleep on Miss T and take your rest.
