He was my father. I will miss him and is forever in my heart. I miss his songs and his stories. He was a hard working man but made it look easy. Meanwhile many times he did without so his family could have. I love you and will miss you forever.

Dad loved to sing, he sang mostly Old Man River. He was a history buff on the Civil War and was happy to hear his great-granddaughter was also a history buff. Dad also loved to hear another great-granddaughter loved art as much as he did. He never got a chance to meet these great-grandchildren if he had the chance he would have filled their ears for hours on end with stories that as I grew up with never once grew tired of hearing. So many times dad would come home from a long day at work lay on his bed with ma cooking dinner and tell us stories he created out of thin air. It grew our imagination so much that I could swear these characters from his stories filled that tiny bedroom. After I grew up had my own kids I dropped them with Ma and Dad so I could go to work. So many times I came home to get the kids I found Dad either drawing with them or telling them stories. Dad was always an amazing person I will always remember how special he treated each of us kids. I will miss him but as long as I have my memories he will always live on. Miss you Dad your loving daughter Connie
