Grandpa, I am so sorry I didn't get to spend more time with you. I wish I was able to get to know you better as an adult and am sad that I was not able to have more experiences with you. I am glad to have had the time I did have with you and won't forget some of my childhood memories where you were there. I am sad that I can't share with you some of the big steps that I will be taking in my life and that the children I have one day will never get to meet you. But, I will tell them about how quirky and funny you were and how much you loved your family. 

In the end, as sad as I am to see you gone, I am glad that you are no longer in pain and that you can now rest. I love you Grandpa, and hope that you're up there, watching all of us, with a smile on your face.
