Wiegand Schmidt
April 24th, 1933 - January 27th, 2020
Wiegand (Bill) Schmidt, beloved husband of Jean Schmidt of Calgary, Alberta passed away suddenly on January 27, 2020 at the age of 86 years. He will be greatly missed by his wife Jean, his eldest son Jim and his children Amanda, Trista, and JJ, Tom his wife Kelly and their children TJ, Derek and Danielle, his daughter Sylvia and her daughter Katya, his stepson Vaughn, his wife Lori and their son Jayden, and his godson Harold Krenz who was such a tremendous help on that very sad and stressful evening.
Bill was born in Ludwikowo, Poland on April 24, 1933 and with his parents and brothers came to Calgary in 1953. He was a gifted craftsman and loving family man. He was predeceased by his father and mother and his brothers Armin and Egon,and his grandchildren Jacob and Jessica.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 14th Street NE) on Sunday, February 9, 2010 at 1:00 pm.
