Obituary for Vernon Mark Guenther

Vernon Mark Guenther
October 25, 1962 – May 8, 2022

Vern Guenther, beloved husband of Janice and selfless father of Benjamin and Jeremy, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

Vern was a man of integrity, loyalty and diligence. He was thoughtful, faithful and kind.

Vern enjoyed biking, camping, and traveling with Janice and their boys. He was employed at WestJet in Calgary, Alberta as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. He also served faithfully in many ways at his church.

Vern was a highly respected family man, employee, and church member. He made a far-reaching, long-lasting difference for many people in his 59 years. He is already deeply missed.

Besides his wife and children, Vern is survived by his mother, Tena Guenther; his sisters, Laureen Guenther, and Pearl (Ryan) Esau; his brother, Arlen (Arleen) Guenther; his mother-in-law, Louise Falk; and by his many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his twin sister, Joyce (1971); his father-in-law, Walter Falk (2020); and his father, Albert Guenther (2020).

A Funeral Service to celebrate Vern’s life will be held at Harvest Hills Alliance Church in Calgary on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 3:00 pm. The Service will be livestreamed for those who are not able to attend, and you are able to watch that here LiveStream via YouTube.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Vern’s memory to Place of Rescue.
