Teresa Elsie McCuaig died on Monday, April 24, 2023, at Bethany in Didsbury, Alberta at the age of 91 years.
Teresa was born in 1932 in Calgary, Alberta to parents John and Albena Dolen. Teresa worked as a camp cook in the oil patch for many years where she met her husband of 46 years, Gordon (deceased). They married in 1968 and together raised 2 wonderful children.
Teresa was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt, godmother, and friend. She was a kind and loving woman that was raised with a strong sense of family. She was always there for her nieces and nephews and had a hand in bringing up most of them. She was lovingly referred to as Mother Teresa, as she was a mother figure to so many.
Teresa is predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Gordon. She is survived by her son Clinton; her daughter Megan (Don); 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and her sister Sheila.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (1305 Main St S, Airdrie, AB).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Teresa’s name may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada (20 Eglinton Avenue West, 16th Floor, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1K8).
