Steven DeHaven
It is with great sadness that the family of Steven DeHaven is announcing his passing on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary Alberta. He was deeply loved by his sisters, Bonnie and Barbara; son and daughter, Les and Trina; grandchildren, Julius and Lian; niece, Jeana; nephew, Jim, and many other family members and friends.
Steven was born in Indianapolis Indiana, graduated from high school in St. Paul Minnesota and completed his undergraduate work at Oberlin College. He went on to earn a PhD in Philosophy and taught for many years at both the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary.
Steven enjoyed fishing, camping, and in his younger days, skiing. He had a particular passion for playing games where winning was always a priority. A scattering of Steven’s ashes will take place in the future when international travel can take place.
