Obituary for Stephan Brandt
STEPHAN BRANDT
April 19, 1964 - June 27, 2020
It is with deep and profound shock and sadness that we announce the death of Stephan Brandt who took his own life at the age of 56 in Calgary.
Stephan was a devoted husband and father to wife, Tina and children, Christian (19) and Irayna (9). Stephan was a loved and trusted brother to Peter and Michael. Stephan is predeceased by his father, Dietrich in 2002, his daughter, Anika in 2008, and his mother, Vera in 2015.
Stephan was a proactive and natural teacher in his ministry and in business and often punctuated his kindness and empathy with a smile and a hearty laugh. His ability to connect with people, making them feel heard, understood, and loved, was a true gift.
Stephan's final request was for compassion and understanding and he admonished us all to "LOVE EACH OTHER". The family and friends of Stephan will be testament and legacy to his love, friendship, and deeds of kindness.
A private family service will be held during this time of Covid and a Memorial Service will be scheduled when his friends and family can freely gather in love and in celebration of Stephan’s life and legacy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephan’s memory to the Stephan Brandt’s Children Memorial Education Fund.
