Obituary for Shirley Joyce Howe (Thompson)

Howe, Shirley Joyce (nee Thompson)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing away of Shirley Howe.

Shirley was born in Trochu, Alberta to Andrew and Susan Thompson, where she spent her younger years. After moving on to Calgary in her young adult life, she found her life-long career in caring for and looking after the elderly.

Shirley had a real passion for sewing, singing, cooking, dancing and reading her Bible. She was particularly interested in Rev. Delports bible study.

Shirley has left to mourn, her husband, Clayton Howe of Calgary; brother, Joseph (Anne) Thompson of Sherwood Park, Alberta; stepson, David (Joa) Howe and their daughter, Kiera of Singapore; stepdaughter, Cheryl (Kevin) Curran and their daughter, Casey of Boston, Massachusetts as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. She was predeceased by her parents and her sister, Marie.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 703 Heritage Drive SW, Calgary at 11:00 am.
