Obituary for Sheryl Anne Lindberg (Edwards)

On December 16th, 2022, Sheryl Anne Lindberg (nee Edwards), age 76, passed away peacefully in the presence of her family after a valiant battle with cancer. She bravely fought the disease with courage and strength, never giving up hope. Sheryl was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend.

Sheryl was born in Ottawa, Ontario, on May 7, 1946, to Dr. Oliver Edward (Ted) and Isobel Edwards. She was the eldest of two daughters. Sheryl will be reunited in Heaven with her loving husband, Larry, her parents, and her younger sister Laurel Laurin. Sheryl and Larry had four loving children, Scott Lindberg, Stephen Lindberg, Heather Gill, and Lisa (husband Adam) Klassen, who will miss their mother dearly. She will also forever be in the hearts of her special grandchildren, Matthew and Brandon Lindberg, Meghan, Carly, Brianna and Jessica Gill, and Brinley Klassen.

Sheryl developed deep friendships all over the world due to her love of travelling, which she pursued for both ministry and personal enjoyment. She was filled with love for her family and friends and treasured everyone in her life. Her favourite times were spent in the presence of her loved ones sharing stories and having fun with lots of laughter. She was always the life of the party.

Sheryl was able to fulfill her calling in life through her many years of ministry, both locally and abroad, and owning her own business. She was an influential, visionary leader who conveyed compassion in everything she put her hands to.
Sheryl lived a wonderful, full life. She cherished her family and the memories she made with her exceptional friends. Sheryl will be missed greatly, and she will be in our hearts forever.

In her memory, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rosedale Hospice; a most incredible place that showed such love, kindness, and dignity to Sheryl and the entire family in her last days. No words can adequately convey the appreciation we have for all the staff.
