Obituary for Sherry Lee Cox
It is with great sorrow we announce Sherry Glesby passed away suddenly at her home in Calgary, on January 1st, 2023 with a broken heart. The past year was an extremely difficult one, filled with loss for Sherry. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Brian Glesby in March, her mother-in-law, Frances Glesby in June, and her loving aunt, Mary Kutzan in September.
Sherry was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta and is survived and missed by both her loving parents, Harry and Nancy Cox; sisters Leslie (Phil) Geiger and Renee (Ray) Carr; brother Kirby Cox (Audrey), 6 nieces and nephews and 2 great nieces.
A passionate dog lover, Sherry considered her fur babies Roxy & Baxter to be part of her family. She was a loving, humorous lady with a feisty personality who enjoyed her bingo nights with friends.
Sherry made her career at Winners for the past eleven years where she established a “work fam”. She was known for her “larger than life personality and infectious laugh”. Coworkers referred to her as a boss, mother, sister, friend, colleague, coach, mentor, role model and was loved by all.
There are so many that were touched by both Sherry and Brian over the years. Our family wishes to extend our condolences to you. We hope you have many fond memories of them both. Sherry was loved by all and will be remembered for her strength and perseverance through difficult times.
