Sheila May Elliott
October 15th, 1933 - July 16th, 2022
Sheila May Elliot passed away peacefully at the South Campus Hospital in Calgary, AB on Saturday, July 16th, 2022.
Sheila had a full and happy life living in Calgary and spending many of her years with the Gerke family until living her own life and within the L’Arche community. Her love for painting, knitting, crafts and art filled her life. She simply loved the company of everybody and L’Arche especially lifted her heart with their endless help, compassion, art and her devotion to the Catholic Church. Her steadfast belief in the L’Arche community and the Church gave her comfort and warmth.
She will be missed by everyone who’s heart she touched.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022, at 11:00 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church (5340 – 4 Street SW, Calgary, AB) with a luncheon to follow at 12:00 Noon. A Reception and Celebration of Sheila’s Life will follow at 12:45. A Zoom Link will be available for Livestreaming at 12:45 for the Celebration of Life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sheila’s memory to L’Arche Calgary.
