Shawn Douglas Whalen
December 29th, 1970 - June 3, 2022
On Friday, June 3rd, 2022, Shawn Whalen, of Winnipeg, Manitoba, took his life at the age of 51.
He is survived by his two sons, Chase Holowaty and Thorin Valentine; brother, Joseph Scott (Teresa); sister, Carrie Santos; nieces and nephews, Kaelen, Kendra, Serena, Casandra, and Gabriel; as well as many extended family and friends. Shawn was predeceased by his mother, Valerie Thiessen and his father, Joseph Olah.
Shawn has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church (Hwy 580, RR 30, Carstairs, AB).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Shawn’s memory to Crisis Services Canada or to Canadian Mental Health Association.
