Obituary for Sharilyn Shelley Ann Gagnon
Sharilyn Shelley Ann Gagnon
April 29, 1987 – March 23, 2021
It is with great sorrow that our family mourns the sudden loss of Sharilyn Gagnon at the young age of 33. Sharilyn was suddenly taken away from us on March 23, 2021. She will be greatly missed by her three beautiful children Georgia Gagnon, Preston Gagnon and Jaden Kieh. She also leaves behind her parents Edwin Gagnon and Sharon Wigton, her brothers Noel Gagnon, Chris Gagnon (Lee Ann Gagnon) and her sister Marion Gagnon (Ryan Crompton). Along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents Don and Sheila Wigton and paternal grandparents Edmond and Helen Gagnon.
Sharilyn grew up in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan where she graduated high school. After school Sharilyn moved out west where she lived with family and friends primarily in Calgary, Alberta. Sharilyn was a very hard worker who cared deeply for her family and friends. She was always there to lend an ear and help someone out. She never forgot a birthday and made visiting family a priority when ever possible. Sharilyn loved and cared for her children deeply. We will remember her by her beautiful smile, her big heart and her ability to ground any situation. She was taken from us too soon and we wish you could have been here to watch your children grow and to show the world how amazing you truly are.
The funeral arrangements are being held by the Choice Memorial Cremation & Funeral Services. Due to the pandemic there will be no service right away. A small family and close friends service will be held in her honour later on as restrictions are lifted. The family would like to thank all the support from their family and friends during this difficult time. They would also like to thank all the effort put forward by the Calgary Police Department for the investigation and work towards bringing justice for Sharilyn. The family requests that in lieu of flowers or gifts that a monetary donation be made towards a trust fund set up for Sharilyn’s children through a go fund me account.
