Obituary for Shannon Lynne Lussier (Lussier)

Shannon Lynne Lussier

Shannon Lynne Lussier of Calgary, Alberta passed away on Monday, December 14, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer at the youthful age of 50.

Shannon was born on May 19, 1970 in Calgary, Alberta to her loving parents, Patricia Malmgren and Richard Lussier and her beloved sister Michelle.

Shannon, also known as Shan, Shanny, "sll" and "mom!!!", lived her life as an ever-endearing Mom, Wife, Daughter, Sister, Niece, Cousin, and Friend. She always held true to her belief that life should be shared with a beautiful smile and that everyone deserved an ear. Her spirit, which was captured over many adventures, had the ability to light up every soul and personality that she encountered.

Shan always put family first but always appreciated and loved the friends that she developed over the years through work, school, kids sports and the neighborhood. Ultimately though, her greatest admiration and focus was devoted to the two that called her Mom. They were her world!

From a very young age, her greatest dream was to be a "mom" and when she met the love of her life, Jody Stachiw in 1992 in Saskatoon, SK. whom she eventually married in May 2003, it allowed her to be blessed with a brilliant daughter, Allysen, in 2005 and an unforgettable son, Jonathen, in 2010.

Shannon, "sparkled and shone" during her time with her family. A moment never went by when she wasn't involved in her kids activities, education, development and growth. Endless days driving to and from everything from swimming lessons to soccer games and other practices was all that was needed to put a smile on her face. All of this was done between the endless trips to Las Vegas and the insatiable need to entertain family and many friends with great food and memories.

Shannon’s stubborn yet loving and caring personality will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
We love you girl. Keep looking down on us. We will never forget.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you did not go alone;
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.
