August 9th, 1994 - April 6th, 2023
Samuel George Hudson of Calgary, AB passed away on April 6, 2023 at the age of 28. He leaves to cherish his memory,his girlfriend Jorden; parents, David and Kathleen; siblings Allison Williams and sons Patrick, James, and Ian; Melissa (Mike) Hay and son Ethan; Sharlene Cardinal (Eric) and daughter Gabrielle(Trevor); Elsa (Delainy) Cardinal and children Alexis (Tommy), Dylan (Kayla), Tristan, Jared, and Ava; Emily Hudson and children Aurora and Maddox; Jenny and children Keanna (Dante), Kaylie, Aeriana, and Zachary; Eloise Hudson (Steve); Erin Hudson; Ellen Hudson; Eileen Jessie Hudson and daughter Violet; Esther Hudson and son Anthony. He was predeceased by brother Devin (2016); brother David Jr. (2022); sister Elisa (1988); nephew Damon (2006); grandparents Ewen and Sylvia MacIntosh; Mae Batzler; Stanley Hudson.
Samuel was born in Barrhead and lived on an acreage in Meadowview during his early childhood; lived in Lac La Biche for a short time; and spent much of his childhood and teenage years in Red Deer where he was homeschooled before attending Lindsay Thurber High School. Settling in Calgary, Sam found a passion for cooking where he worked at numerous restaurants mastering his craft and studied at college to become an addictions counselor. In the last year of his life, he dedicated his time perfecting himself and helping influence others in a positive way by attending and mentoring at the Dream Centre.
Sam had quite the sense of humour and always wanted to make everyone laugh, either through his words or mannerisms. Children were drawn to Sam’s playful and caring nature. He had a love for music and was famous for all of his TikTok videos and Instagram posts. He was an amazing son, brother, uncle, friend, and human being and had a heart of gold, always wanting others to feel loved and appreciated. He touched so many lives in his short 28 years of living and his whole-hearted laughter, crazy sense of humor, and contagious smile will be deeply missed. His legacy will live on and the memory of his infectious energy and love will carry forward and be be a guiding beacon to everyone who knew and loved him.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, May 6, 2023. The visitation will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13 Street NE) from 11:00 am-12:00 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens (24223 Township Road 242). Memorial Service will be held at the Calgary Dream Centre (4510 MacLeod Trail South) at 3:00 pm.
