Ruth is survived by Paul, her husband of 56 years, daughter Melanie McManus (Mike), granddaughter Meaghan, brother Dennis Foth (Marj), niece Marjorie Foth, nephew Davis Foth (Melanie) and their children Gabrielle, Rhea and Alex.
Ruth was outgoing, generous, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She rose early every day to get the most out of life and remembered every birthday and holiday. Her volunteer activities included twenty-five years as a White Hatter at Calgary International Airport, a greeter at Heritage Park, service at the Food Bank, and taking on many roles at her church. She loved to walk, especially in the mountains, and, later in life, performing in a hand-bell choir.
