With broken hearts, we announce the sudden death of Russ (Rusty) Younker, which occurred at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary on Thursday, April 15, 2021. Russ was born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, on July 27, 1971, and spent most of his youth growing up in Truro, NS, travelling throughout Canada, and finally landed in Calgary.
Russ is survived by his mother, Brenda Nutter (Tom) Truro; his father, Dave Younker (Lilian) PEI; and his beloved sister, Tara Younker (Chris Smith) Calgary. He leaves behind friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and childhood friends like Derek Richard.
His passion was to be outdoors to fish, camp, landscape, garden, and he also loved all animals, mechanics, and welding. He appreciated live music, was excited to attend many musical events and had extensive knowledge in that area.
