Obituary for Russell Jake Van Ee
It is with sadness that the family of Russell Jake Van Ee announce his sudden passing on April 6, 2022 in Calgary, Alberta at 39 years of age.
He was born in Cardston, Alberta and lived in southern Alberta his whole life, Russ grew fond of the outdoors, he enjoyed camping in the summer and loved to make people laugh any chance he could. Russ spent a lot of his time in the gym, which lead him to competing in body building and strongman competitions. He won many trophies over the years. He worked hard in school to chase his dreams of becoming a journeyman electrician. He also loved working on vehicles whenever he got the chance. In his spare time he loved to watch the latest horror movies with those closest to him.
He is survived by his children Anika, Rexlee, Harlynn, and Ullryk; his father Rick (Carolyn) Van Ee; brothers Raymond (Liz) Van Ee, Derek Van Ee, Adam Gillespie, and Alex Gillespie; sister Emily Van Ee; his mother Sandra Payne; his grandparents Richard and Gladys Van Ee, and lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his grandparents Grant and Marion Payne, and infant brother David. He will be missed by all who loved him.
A private family gathering was held on April 13, 2022 with cremation following.
