Obituary for Ronald John "Ron" McGonigal

November 6, 1960 – July 7, 2019
It is with great sadness that the family of Ron McGonigal announces his passing on Sunday July 7, 2019 at the age of 58 after a long admiral and courageous battle with cancer. Ron passed away comfortably in his home surrounded by
family and loved ones.
Ron grew up in Moosomin, SK with his wife Colleen. They moved to Calgary, AB where Ron spent most of his career in a truck and working for Fish Creek Excavating. He took pride in his work and met many people along the way.
In his down time Ron loved to be by the water, fishing whenever he could. He loved to cook, especially BBQ (snow, rain, sunshine) and boy could he prepare a mean steak!
Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife Colleen, his daughter Cyndral (Len) and his Grandson Dominic Graham. He will be forever loved by his mom Verna (Don); sisters Debbie and Patricia (Bill); brothers Gerry (Lisa) and Terry (Heather)
and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many many friends. Ron was predeceased by his Father John McGonigal.
In lieu of flowers please send treats, pizzas, coffee, etc (in memory of Ron McGonigal - this was his wish) to one of the many units that Ron called home. We can't thank the staff enough for making Ron feel truly loved and like family. They are all truly amazing.
