On Friday, December 16, 2022, Bob Axten peacefully passed away at Age Care McKenzie, Calgary. He was 84 years old.
Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Sheila Axten; children, Craig (Theresa) Axten, Bill Axten, Kathy (Jim) Swain; Todd (Cindy) Axten; grandchildren, Aleesa (Phil) Vanderwell, Ryan Axten, Robert Axten, Christopher (Syd) Axten, Amanda (Austin) Weersink, Dustin (Cyra) Swain, Danielle (Bobby) Lolli, Alexandra Axten; great grandchildren, Draya Vanderwell and Luca Vanderwell; brother, Bill Axten, and sister-in-law, Louise Axten.
He had a personality that would make anyone and everyone feel welcome and special. Bob always enjoyed sharing a beverage and conversation with family, friends and strangers. In celebration of his life, please raise a glass. His heart held a huge love for animals, so in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal shelter of your choice.
