Condolence: Rita was a wonderful friend to me beginning with my arrival in Calgary in the late 1970s. Her wonderful home-cooked meals and warm disposition became a very special part of my life as I worked my way through my teacher-training program at the U of C. Rita was warm, strong, loved her family dearly and was very caring and supportive of her friends. I will miss her warmth. Rest in peace little Rita. Love you always. Anne Bloomberg.

Condolence: Rita was a long time member of the Calgary Canada-China Friendship Association after she visited China with this group many years ago, and was awarded an Honorary Membership of the association. Rita was a lively interesting lady right up until she moved into care at Colonel Belcher Centre and despite, hearing problems, attended dinner meetings of our group into her ninetieth year. I kept in touch with her each Chinese New Year after she ceased attending dinners. We are sad to learn of Rita's death and would gladly send a donation in her memory if advised of a suitable cause.
