With great sadness the family of Richard (Rick) Francis Paul announces his unexpected passing on
Saturday, May 9, 2020 at the age of 59 years.
Rick was born on February 22, 1961 and grew up in Badger, NFLD. He moved to Calgary in the late 70s
and found a successful career in the energy sector. Rick was clever, with a quick wit and a smart mouth.
He enjoyed making people laugh with his teasing nature and pranks. Rick loved motorcycles, Costco,
cross-country road trips, hockey, hiking and fries with dressing and gravy. He loved spending time
visiting with family and friends and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
Rick will be lovingly remembered and missed by his two daughters, Renee (James) and Danielle (Scott); four grandchildren, Jude, Eleanor, Simon and George; sister, Madonna (Rex); sister, Leona (Leo); brother, Larry (Heather); nieces; nephews; the mother of his children, Debbie Guy and many
other family members and friends. Rick was predeceased by his father, Leo Lawrence Paul and his beloved mother, Ursula Mary Paul.
