Obituary for Richard Douglas "Bud" Edens

August 3, 1941 - January 19, 2021
With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Ron Edens (Bud) announce his passing at the Foothills Country Hospice in Okotoks. Ron passed away peacefully with his daughter Susan by his side.
Ron was born and raised in Victoria, B.C. He enlisted in the Navy where he served as a medic for four years. Ron spent most of his adult life in Alberta, working in the hotel, bar and restaurant business. In his later years, career changes found him in the gas well testing and paving industry before finally retiring in Fort MacLeod.
He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Travis); nieces, Kelly (Steve) and Judy (Dan) and numerous other nieces and nephews, including two great-great-great-nephews. Ron was predeceased by his sister, Pam (2008); brothers, Mike (2005) and John (1995) and mother, Joan (1991).
He is already greatly missed by his family and many friends. At Ron’s request, no service will be held. Memorial donations can be made to Foothills Country Hospice Society Foothills Country Hospice Society (PO Box 275 Okotoks, Alberta T1S 1A5).
