Remy was born on February 2, 1938 in STA. Ana, Manila, Philippines to his beloved mother and father, Rufina & Jesus Ma. Del Corro Sr.

He was the sixth of eight children. Growing up, Remy was extremely close to his mother and was her favourite. He was always joking around. He was a very happy child and this jovial personality continued throughout his lifetime. Anyone that met Remy instantly fell in love with him because of his charm, gentleness and kindness.
He met Linda in 1968 and knew instantly that she was his soulmate and they would be together forever. They are blessed with two children, Remy Jr and Zoey, and then also with a daughter-in-law, Valerie; and 3 grandchildren, Cabrini, Alexandria and Dimitri. Remy’s family always came first. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was very generous and always ready to help in any way. He was always making those around him laugh with his quick wit and jokes. His family loved to laugh.

He was an excellent swimmer and swam Varsity in University. Among many attributes, Remy was an avid reader, loved rally driving, was a world history buff and loved travelling and food (especially his sweets). He had a real zest for life.

He was a successful businessman in the Philippines before he migrated to Canada where he became a Supervisor, then Operations Manager of Western Citation Maintenance.

Remy was a humanitarian and a true friend to many and used his position to help many immigrants. He will always be remembered for being so honest and trustworthy and always ready with wise words of advice. He was a true gentleman to the very end of his beautiful life and will be dearly missed.
