Ray McNeill
June 30, 1948 - July 6, 2022
Ray was born in Winnipeg on June 30th, 1948, the son of Donald and Edna McNeill. He was able to celebrate his 74th birthday with his kids and grandkids.
Ray passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 6th, 2022.
Ray had a successful career in management. His passion for golf lead to a retirement job where he worked as a starter at the Calgary Golf and Country Club. He cherished family get togethers, spending time with his friends and barbecuing. He was an Elvis aficionado with a love for music. If a song brought him joy he would not hesitate taking you for a spin on the dance floor. One of his favourite pastimes was watching sports with Wesley “my boy”, especially the Blue Jays.
Ray’s positive and energetic personality was magnetic to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was a true mover and shaker, impressive in the eyes of many.
Ray will be missed and lovingly remembered by his children Tammy (James), Wesley, Sherry (Alfredo), and Stephanie (James); his grandchildren Keith, Brian, Kyle, Josh, Carter, Tristen, and Tamya; his siblings Wes (Mary), Gord (Filipina) and Joanne (Bill); his nieces and nephews and his friends. He was predeceased by his sister Marlyne and her husband Don.
We look forward to seeing him again one day. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to be made in Ray’s honour to: Lung Cancer Canada .
