Obituary for Ralph Harmon Lavender

Ralph Lavender of Calgary, Alberta went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 20, 2021.

He was born on a farm near Broderick, Sask on June 7, 1934, and moved when he was 12 to Lashburn, Saskatchewan.
Ralph went to high school at LCBI in Outlook Sask, and later the University of Saskatchewan. He served as a navigator in the Canadian Air Force. After marrying Ilene they lived in North Battleford SK and Nanaimo BC, before moving to Calgary in 1972 where he had a long career as general manager of Apex Credit Union.

He is survived by his loving wife Ilene of almost 60 years, daughter Shelley McKeating (Darrell), sons Warren Lavender (Julie), Brian Lavender (Cindy) and Colin Lavender (Gail). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Carlee and Courtney McKeating, and Noah and Ethan Lavender. Also his brothers Keith (Pat), Dennis (Helen) and Lyle (Mary), brother-in-law Dennis (Blanche), and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents Donovan and Lucille Lavender, brothers Hugh (Helen), Wes (Dorothy), and Dean (Mary).
