Obituary for Wade Cook

Wade Cook was born on December 8, 1958 in Cranbook BC and unexpectedly passed away on December 19, 2020 in Calgary AB, at which time he was able to reunite with his family in Heaven. His physical body was located on March 12, 2021 in Calgary AB.

Wade was a loving father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by so many. Wade was full of life, the life of the party, and the best storyteller. His happy place was in the mountains, where he was at his best. Above all, Wade lived for his kids and loved spending time with his family. Wade was a child of God and tried to serve his Heavenly Father the best way he could.

Wade is survived by his children; Cassandrea (Darrin) McGillis, Jalene (Adam) Lillejord, Cody Cook and Colten Cook. His grandchildren; Riya (15), Jaya (13), Shya (11), Sophia (11), Nox (9) and Neviah (8). And siblings; Tracey (Leroy), Dana (Bino), Brad and Laurae.

Wade is predeceased by his loving parents Phil and Jody Cook, and his beloved little sister Molly Cook.

A quote Wade loved to leave his children and loved ones:
“I love you more than all the trees in the mountains,
I love you more than all the water in every river and ocean,
I love you more than every grain of sand on the beach,
I love you more than the hairs on every animals back,
I love you more than all the stars in the sky and the whole entire universe.“

The family would like to send a sincere heartfelt thank you to family, friends and members of the Calgary Police Service that worked tirelessly to help find Wade. An extra thank you goes to organizations such as the Free Bird Project and various news outlets that also helped get the story out.

Wade will be dearly missed, but we know he is with his loved ones on the other side.
Wade is now free, flying with the eagles …

Due to COVID-19, a celebration of life will be announced by the family once restrictions lift. In the meantime, to share your condolences, memories and pictures of Wade, please visit choicememorial.com
