It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our Phily-O, Philip Richard Johansen on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the age of 57.
Phil was born in Calgary, AB and was an adventurous soul from the start. Whether playing on log jams, shimmying up bridges in Revelstoke or driving cars way too fast in his younger days – that man was a natural thrill seeker whose hobbies included skiing, camping, 4x4ing, mountain biking, motorcycles, and skydiving.
Phil was a good, hard working family man who recently retired from CP Rail with 37 years of service and some amazing friendships. He had a zest for life and a love for his family that will never falter. He adored spending time in the garage with Eric working on cars for hours, building a bond that will be forever cherished.
Phil will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Karen; son, Eric; mother, Dolores; brother, Kirk (Terri); sister, Laura (Guy); brother Barclay “Clyde” (Hazel); brothers-in-law, David (Joanne), Glen, Kenny and Donnie (Louise); sister-in-law, Darlene; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends too many to mention. He was predeceased by his dad, Ronald and stepmom, Elsie.
