Peter Saldanha
1947 - 2021
Peter Saldanha passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Calgary, AB at the age of 74 years.
Peter is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lana; his two sons, Eugene and Michael; sisters, Cecilia and Joyce; family and friends in India, England, Australia and Canada. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jessica Hope; parents, Joaquim and Ella; brothers, Julian and Vivian.
Peter’s passion was jazz! He always considered himself very fortunate to play alongside his closest friends who would occasionally accompany visiting jazz greats such as Art Farmer, Karin Krog, and Charlie and Joe Byrd. Peter also worked film scores and with local celebrities like Usha Iyer.
Most of all, “Uncle Peter” will be best known for his ridiculously absurd stories that would keep the family laughing hysterically during their celebrations.
