Obituary for Paul Alexander

Paul Alexander
March 24, 1964 - Friday, February 2, 2024

Paul Alexander, beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and cousin, passed away on Friday, February 2, 2024, after battling heart failure.

Paul was born in Liverpool, England, and immigrated to Canada with his family when he was 13 months old. They travelled by ship and moved to Snow Lake, Manitoba for eight years before moving to Calgary, Alberta.

Paul loved his family, music, guitars, shooting pool, and playing darts with his family and friends.

He worked for Checker Cabs as an Assistant Operations Manager working with many people that he considered a second family. He was thankful for the many friendships he made throughout the company and would often share special memories with his wife, Melinda. He was always surrounded by people he worked with from Southland Canada and Checker Cabs. Paul met his best friend through work, Bob Boucher, and remained friends for 40 years.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 35 years, Melinda Alexander; children, Stephen Paul Alexander, and Keith Ryan Alexander (Quinn Hardstaff); siblings, Debbie LeClair (Terry Maringer) and Allan Alexander (Teresa Alexander); uncle, Charlie and auntie, Verna; auntie, Val Caren (Alan Casse); mother-in-law, Valerie Mae Simpson (Iqbal Lalani); sister-in-law, Sabrina Curran; best friend, Bob Boucher; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Alice Alexander, and Uncle Ian Alexander.

Paul’s family will always be thankful for the people who entered his life. We are forever grateful for his kind and gentle heart. Rest In Peace.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Paul’s memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation.
