Obituary for Patricia Lorraine Belliveau (Lee)

Patricia Belliveau

It is with heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of our beloved family member, Patricia Belliveau. Heaven gained an angel in Patricia on January 6, 2021, following a courageous battle with cancer. A mother, wife, daughter (and daughter in-law), sister (and sister in-law), aunt, colleague, and friend; Pat had a kind heart, thoughtful nature, and a wicked sense of humour.
Patricia was born in Hamiota, Manitoba, and lived in a variety of towns across the prairies prior to settling in Alberta. It was in Calgary that she met and married her husband, Charles Belliveau, and welcomed their son, Ryan. Patricia worked for 20+ years in administration at the Sarcee Meadows Housing Co-Operative, creating lasting friendships, and working her way up to the position of Financial Services Coordinator. She and her family travelled extensively across Canada and the United States, as well as multiple trips to Mexico and Cuba. One of her favorite destinations was St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she visited with her family on a tour of Eastern Canada in 2017.

Pat faced her cancer diagnosis head on, with grace and courage that inspired everyone around her. She maintained her fierce sense of spirit, dignity, and humor, even after her transition to hospice care. Her family was immensely grateful for the care and kindness shown by the staff of the Southwood Hospice over her final days.

Patricia was predeceased by her Mother (Evelyn Lee) and Father (Gerald Lee) and is survived by her husband, Chuck Belliveau; son, Ryan Belliveau; brother, Ken Lee; sister in-law, Karen & Graham Parsons; brothers in-law, Mike Belliveau and Patrick Belliveau (Melanie); niece and great-niece, Nicole and Aniston Crosby; nephews, Michael and Kristian Belliveau; and multiple extended family members.

Patricia’s life will be celebrated by us all; to express condolences and share memorial greetings, please visit Choice Memorial at www.choicememorial.com.

Due to COVID-19, a formal Celebration of Life will be held when possible. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in Patricia’s memory to Mustard Seed Calgary.
