Orval “Wayne” Chambers
Wayne passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary, AB from complications of a heart attack at the age of 75.
Wayne was born in Simcoe, Ontario on December 18, 1947. He grew up on the family farm with his father, Rex; mother, Lorraine; and five siblings, Keith (Marlene), Brian (deceased 2022), Gail (Keith), Gwen (Rob), and Earl (Joanne).
In 1973 he married Virginia (Lamb) and they have shared 49 years of marriage, farming, and owning & operating Wayne's Water Wagon. They had two children, Ambrea and Jeremy (Krista). They moved to Alberta in 2006, where he worked in construction for Al's Bobcat in Sylvan Lake, AB for 12 years. From there they moved closer to Calgary, where they made many memories with their grandchildren, Beckett and Mailey.
Wayne enjoyed farming, woodworking, playing cards, operating heavy equipment, meeting friends for early coffee, his RockPointe Church community, and most of all playing with his grandkids. You could always count on Wayne for a helping hand, you just had to name the time and he would be there. He will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to a charity of your choice or to your local hospital.
