Obituary for Olga Lola Radmacher (Stebner)

Radmacher, Olga Lola

Olga Lola Radmacher (Stebner) passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 08, 2020 at the South Health Campus in Calgary, AB. Born on May 12, 1928 to Edward and Maria, in Dermansdorf, Ukraine she was little sister to Vera (Mazga) and big sister to her brother Leo.

Lola lived a courageous life, losing her father and having to flee the Ukraine for Germany during the Second World War. After living a few years in Germany, she immigrated with her mother, sister and brother to Canada in 1949. She finally settled with her mother in Regina, Saskatchewan, worked hard, and made many new friends. In 1951 she met and married the love of her life, Adolf and energetically built a home and family, raising daughter, Siegrun (Eyklebosh) and son, Ronald.

Lola always took great pleasure in frequent family and friend get togethers, was an active member of the Regina German Club and loved to travel the world. She was renowned for her baking, pickling, jam making and culinary skills and enjoyed sharing all. In 2017, she left Regina to live closer to family in Calgary.
Lola’s strength of character, love of life, and generosity left family and friends with many fond and loving memories. She will always be remembered as a joyful, happy, kind and giving soul.

She is survived by her children, Siegrun (Steve) and Ronald (Katherine); grandchildren, Alexa, Morod (Brook), Roxanne (Alex), Mercedes, and Christopher; and five great grandchildren, Tucker, Lucas, Harper, Logan and Olivia. Lola was predeceased by her parents, siblings, and husband.
