Obituary for Nancy Ong Lo

NANCY LO-GREGORIUS
September 24,1977 - September 4, 2020

“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have
been called according to his purpose” ...Romans 8:28

Born September 24, 1977 in Iloilo City, Philippines, Nancy Lo-Gregorius went home peacefully to her heavenly Father on September 4, 2020 in Calgary, Canada. She is survived by her husband Jeffrey Gregorius, parents John and Teresita Lo, sisters Mary Ann Lo Gasuad, Christine Lo Chu, and April Grace Lo, brothers John Gerard Lo and John Wesley Lo, and nieces and nephews.

Nancy grew up and spent most of her life in Iloilo City where she was a kindergarten teacher and a registered nurse. She seized the opportunity to be with her sisters in Calgary in 2012. She had the union in marriage to her husband in 2016. She was fond of art and writing, and loved to cook her favorite foods, spaghetti, and bitter melon.

She was baptized in 1996 and was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Her unwavering trust and faith in the Lord was a stronghold during her battle with cancer and was an inspiration for all who knew her.

Those who have had the pleasure of meeting Nancy knew that she had an approachable and welcoming personality. She was amiable and compassionate to friends and strangers alike. She was a joy to be around with and her radiant smile and good sense of humor captivates everyone. Her positive attitude, passion in life and faith in God are simply endearing.

Nancy will forever be remembered as a thoughtful and diligent daughter, an honest and caring sister, and a loving and generous aunt. She will be dearly missed and will be in our hearts forever.

A loving, sweet and thoughtful wife with an unconditional love. Never missed a day saying, “I love you” and “Always Forever” to Jeffrey for 17 years. Always been altruistic, nurturing and cared more for everyone else. Making sure that family and friends are still grateful to life and faithful to God. Amidst her struggles, nothing defies all these rather it was her undying love and courage that had been triumphant.

The family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, for taking such good care of Nancy during her final journey. To family friends and relatives, we are very grateful and appreciative of all your prayers, mass offerings, and expressions of love and support in any form during this difficult time.

Due to COVID-19, there will not be a Celebration of Life service. Interment will be held on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 3:00 in the afternoon at Queens Park Cemetery. To view and share photos, condolences and memories of Nancy, please visit www.choicememorial.com.
