Mona Richardson (Jacobson)
Mona was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. This beautiful soul passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at the age of eighty-five. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Brooks (Craig) and their four sons, Jordan McNutt, Grayson, Dylan, and Carson; and by her son, Blake Hill (Sabrina) and their two children, Sydney and Carter. Mona was born in Calgary, Alberta, the only child of Helen and Oliver Jacobson. After her early years in Lethbridge, she moved to Calgary to begin her career and raise her family.
She always enjoyed her work, mainly as an executive secretary in the oil industry. Throughout her life, Mona was actively involved in the church and served in a variety of roles. She spent several years as a leader in the Discipleship program with Centre Street Church, walking alongside others in their faith journeys. Her faith and relationship with Jesus grew throughout her adult years.
Mona was an encourager, whether to her children, grandchildren, or friends. She was always in your corner, cheering you on; her loyalty was unwavering. Her greatest joys in life came from her children and their families - time spent with her grandchildren and family celebrations. She was a lover of the outdoors and activities in the mountains like camping, hiking, cross-country skiing, and golfing.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Centre Street Church. Due to current restrictions, video streaming will be available.
