December 28, 1974 – April 30, 2021
Maty Ann Ibasco passed away at home on April 30, 2021 at the age of 46 years.
Maty was the loving mother of Marianne of Calgary. She will be remembered by her beautiful only daughter Marianne; brother Leo (Leonila); nieces Marinelle and Lesette; nephew Mark; and many churchmates, co-workers and friends. Maty was predeceased by her mother Matilde Ibasco and father Leopoldo Ibasco.
Maty was born in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte on December 28, 1974. She finished her BS Nursing at De Ocampo Memorial College. After completion of nursing, she spotted a “Canadian Caregiver Ad” and ended up in Montreal. She was a very dedicated mom to Marianne, driving her to music lessons, school and church activities. She was a caregiver at Carewest George Boyack and Glamorgan Care Centre when she was affected by brain cancer.
A visitation will be held at Choice Memorial (105-4715 13th Street NE) on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 9:00 am – 9:30 am and from 9:30 am – 10:00 am. Due to Covid regulations updated on May 4th, a maximum of 10 people are allowed at one time for the viewing. You must RSVP in the link below with your name and telephone number for a set time slot in order to attend the visitation. Please note that you must come during your scheduled time period, and you will not be allowed in the building earlier or later than your time slot as per AHS regulations. A private funeral service with a burial at Mountain View Memorial Gardens will follow.
