Mary Ann Pottinger
July 10, 1943 - February 7, 2020
Mary was the second oldest of seven children born to Harry and Edna Finkbiner. Mary grew up in Drumheller, and later Calgary. She also lived briefly in Victoria, B.C. as a young woman. Mary worked in secretarial and telephone operator roles prior to marrying the love of her life, Gerald (Gerry) Pottinger. Together, they went on to have two daughters, Tara and Marlis.
To her children, Mary passed on an enduring love of nature, travel, and the wild Pacific ocean. Mary had a tender heart with a love for gardening, pets, as well as a skillful flair for creative hobbies and crafts. Sadly, Mary was predeceased by many of those nearest and dearest to her heart, including her grandmother Kate, her sister Judy, her brother Kelly, her aunt Edith, her parents, and her husband Gerry. Mary is deeply missed by her surviving family.
Honoring Mary's own wishes, no funeral service is being held.
