Martin Lee Chudey
June 3, 1964-March 9, 2020
Martin passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 9, 2020. He is lovingly remembered by his sister, Linda; long-time (26 years) caregiver and friend, Laney Hagemann and her family who shared many family events with him. He was a joyful person who always liked to laugh, tease, and generally have fun. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
He is predeceased by his sister, Raylene (2008); his mother (2017) and father (2018). Martin was born in Calgary, to Patricia and Raymond Chudey. He was a descendant of the Pioneer family of John Godlonton who settled here in 1886. With that heritage it follows that he was around his mom’s horses. He generally loved animals of all kinds. He enjoyed walking the family dogs and for a while had a job walking dogs for clients. He had a rich life with many activities facilitated by Karla Foster and other workers.
A Celebration of Martin’s Life will be held at Choice Memorial (105, 4715 – 13 Street NE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 11:30 am. Graveside Service to follow after the Celebration service at Rocky View Garden of Peace Cemetery (243208 Garden Road, Calgary, AB).
