Obituary for Marjorie Lorraine Miller (Bovingdon)

Marjorie Lorraine Miller
June 24,1938 - April 30, 2022

Marjorie Lorraine Miller, wife of the late Wayne Norman Miller, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022 after a tragic accident at her home. Marjorie was born June 24, 1938 in Delburne, Alberta to Nancy Frances and Melville Morton Bovingdon.

Marjorie is survived by her son, Gary (Lisa) Miller; granddaughter, Kelly (Geoff) Moralda and great grandson, Ronin; grandson, Garett Miller (Amanda Faller); daughter, Jo-Ann (Grant) Mervin and granddaughters, Kerris & Erin; her daughter, Cindy (Ron) Spragg and granddaughters, Kiya Spragg (Mark Mullen) and Curra Spragg (Cyrus Robinson) and by her three sisters, Nancy Christensen, Barbara Bovingdon-Bishop, and Teresa (Ron) Bysterveld as well as many many many nieces nephews cousins and other relatives.

Marjorie married Wayne in June of 1958 after Boogie-Woogieing and Bee-Bopping around rural Alberta dance halls where they decided to be each other’s forever dance partners.

Margie loved fresh garden veggies, mulligan stew, a cold coke a cola and a sweet treat. She loved movies, music and dancing and especially loved sharing it all with others. They were kind of known for dragging the youngins along on their adventures especially before they had their own kids.

She had a “back room” stocked with presents, nicknacks, ribbons and bows. Always ready to throw a wedding shower or pull together a thoughtful birthday present. She loved having family and friends around her and was always up for a visit. Whether it was an impromptu pool party or her final farewell at her bedside she was bringing everyone together with love
.
One of her grandchildren described her perfectly.
“She made me feel important when it felt like no one else saw me”
Margie was so full of love… that was her gift… and she shared it with us all.

In lieu of flowers please go out and get a treat and share it with someone important to you.
It is with love and thoughtfulness that we will remember you Marj
