Obituary for Marion Gretchen Lina Keslake (Barrett)
Marion Gretchen Lena Keslake
May 12, 1930 – February 14, 2021
Marion passed away peacefully the morning of Sunday, February 14, 2021 at the age of 90. In keeping with her loving nature, it seemed fitting. She was well loved and loved well.
‘Marian’ (as she liked to be called) divorced and was pre-deceased by the father of her children, Doug Henderson. She later remarried and was also pre-deceased by Stanley Keslake. She will be lovingly remembered by all and her three children, Ron, Gail (Wayne) and Judy (John); by her grandson, Lee (Lisa); her great-grandchildren, Jordanna and Adria; her grand-daughter, Deanna; two more grandsons, Vince (Adele) and Kevin; her favorite niece, Jill (Jeff) and their 3 children, as well as may more nieces and nephews. She is also survived by 2 brothers and a sister.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Chinook Hospice for all their loving care and support. They helped Mom’s final journey be peaceful and comfortable with such love that it was like she was family.
Mom, being a free spirit, loved adventure. If Mom ran into a wall, she always found a way around it. She loved cooking and baking. It was nothing for her to spend a day making a special dessert or buns. Everyone loved “Granny’s” bun’s! There was nothing she would not do for her family or friends.
May her free spirit always fly with the angels.
